So, it's like 90 degrees, and I sleep in what is supposed to be an untility room. Meaning no windows and bad ventilation. Obviously, sleeping is at this point -not- an option. Which leaves me here, randomly typing, at 7 am on a night of no sleep whatsoever.
The last few days have just seemed really pointless overall. nothing seems to get accomplished, or at least nothing that actually needs done. I have managed to... take advantage of back to school sales. That's about it.
Haven't even went to hang out with my Kidlet, due to bad/lack of sceduling, and not just on my part. We were supposed to take him out for a while on Saturday, and go buy him new fish for his aquarium. He wanted cat fish. However, when hubby got off of work his dad told him "Oh, we have tickets for this car thing tonight." Ok, no big deal, but then again it was no big secret what our plans had been, and at last minute this gets brought out. So Chuck and his dad run to the Dip Net (cool aquarium and fish place here in Muncie) and Chuckie takes in the Kidlet to pick up his fish. Straight from work. So guess what I didn't get to do?
Another random bit of information, they had these little like 3 inch upside down cat fish (nom I don't know what they're called actually) last time we'd went. this time, they were evidently out, so Chuckie bought kidlet like 8 other fish that I've never even heard of.
my Kidlets tank has in it, before the unknown addition, 3 freshwater Angels, 3 neons, 1 random guppy, and 3 fancy tail guppys. He has another tank that has 1 male beta that's bright purple, 2 white frogs, and another frog. It has some random little cheap-o fish in it too, but I didn't healp aquire anything for that one, so no idea what's all in there, actually. I don't like frogs, and that's what the tank was bought for. I do like snails though, but I was banned from buying them for Kidlet's tank. Something about them being disgusting. I 'unno. I think they're cool.
I have so got to get that boy a real pet sooner or later. I know he likes his fish, a LOT, but it just seems kinda cheap. I was thinking about getting him a turtle a while back, but everyone jumped my ass over it, and, lo an behold, they (Kidlet and his grandparents) were out fishing and brought home a damned snapping turtle. Come on! What, Everyone flips over a box turtle or painted turtle or whatever small pet type turtles are currently legal in Indiana, but a GIANT ass snapping turtle seems like a good idea? I mean, WTF?
People really make no sense to me. I have decided that when we get an apartment/house whatever and the Kidlet moves back in with us, I am so not listening to whatever BS excuses and reasons are thrown my way and doing what I want and think is right for MY son. And stop telling people what I intend to get for him, considering there's a long ass story there that really irritates me, which maybe ya'll will get to hear at some other point when I'm frustrated beyond all reason.
But yes, I'm looking forward to getting the Kidlet back home with us, and then I can set up a good aquarium for him. without worrying about putting in the expensive ass fish without knowing if they'll be cared for or their tank paid enough attention to. I know at the M-i-L's house Kidlets tank is right by the AC, so most even semi-touchy fish would probably die over to low a water temp, so the good ones will have to wait.
I'll teach my kid about my favorite thing thing to chill out and watch, yet!
